This is the area where I will try to steer you folks in the right direction for your fishing related purchases. I will be reviewing my sponsors' products first. Let me tell you how I almost always approach sponsors to begin with. First of all, I find a product from a friend's recommendation or through trial and error. Only after I try a product and I'm happy with it, then do I approach a company to become part of their promotional team or pro staff. It's because of this philosophy that I have no reservations recommending my sponsors' products to others. If you have ever fished with me or talked  to me, you know I don't sugar-coat my feelings about products. I realize other people can have different results with the same products for various reasons.
